JMS Editors held scientific writing workshops in Xining, China

QIU Dunlian and XIANG LI, editors of the Journal of Mountain Science (JMS), held two scientific writing workshops in Northwest Institute of Plateau Biology (NIPB), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and Qinghai University respectively on the morning and afternoon of July 17th at the invitation o f Prof. XU Shixiao and Prof. HU Xiasong.

In NIPB, about 60 people including researchers and students from in NIPB, and teachers and students from Qinghai Normal University attended the workshop.

In Qinghai University, there are about 40 teachers and students from the Department of Geological Engineering of this school attended the workshop.

Prof. QIU Dunlian first introduced the history of the journal and the international development trends of academic publication, then explained the journal's requirements on manuscript preparation and submission. She especially stressed the academic ethics that students should pay special attention to, such as the authorship, plagiarism, duplicate submission, data falsification.
