JMS editor WU Xuemei and Prof. LI Yong, the editorial member of the Journal of Mountain Science (JMS), attended the 6th International Conference on Debris-Flow Hazards Mitigation: Mechanics, Prediction and Assessment (DFHM6) held in Japan on June 21-26, 2015.

DFHM is the most influential academic conference in debris flow research and aims to promote international cooperation, communication and exchange of knowledge among researchers and practitioners. More than 130 experts and scholars from 16 countries and regions attended this meeting.

Prof. CUI Peng, the Editor in Chief of JMS, made a presentation in this conference. WU Xuemei and Prof. LI Yong communicated with some young scholars and introduced the aims and scopes of JMS. We also gave out leaflets about JMS to researchers and practitioners in this conference.
